Ibou Ndoye

Artist Statement

Ibou Ndoye was born in Senegal,West Africa where he graduated in 1984 from the Fine Art School of Dakar,developing his God-given natural talents. After spending ten years in Europe,particularly in Paris where he participated in several exhibitions,he decided in 1997 to move to the United states.Ibou arrived in New York City where he became acquainted whith several artists including master of portraits John Howard Sanden.Ibou also worked with Oldrich Teply at the world famous Art Student League School.In 1998,he moved to Cincinnati Ohio where he became a member of the Art Consortium of Cincinnati featuring artists from the entire Ohio Tristate region,and Art for City Walls.Ibou won best of show in the Art Consortium's 21st Annual Fine Art Competitive the same year and received a Special Recognition Merit Award at the Upstream People Gallery's 8th Annual Realism Juried Online International Art Exhibition.Recently,Ibou has been accepted as a founding member at the California Public Art an Mural Society(CALPAMS),he also has been featured in the 2006 third edition and 2009 fourth edition of Who"s who in Black Cincinnati,reaching America's most influential and affluent African-Americans.
